Creating a more
sustainable future

At Maintel, we are dedicated to driving technology adoption that’s not only effective and efficient but also aligned with sustainable practices.

Our focus is to empower our people to become trusted advisors who help clients integrate technology in ways that are environmentally responsible, cost-effective, and forward-looking. By embedding ESG principles into everything we do, we’re committed to minimising our environmental impact, fostering a positive workplace, and upholding the highest standards of ethical governance.

We believe transparency is essential in building trust and creating long-term value for all stakeholders. With a focus on continuous improvement, we work collaboratively with our clients to support both their sustainability goals and ours, advancing together toward a future where technology serves people and the planet responsibly.

Liverpool City Council
– Social Value Donation

In December 2024, as part of our commitment to supporting local communities, we proudly donated £5,800 to a foodbank in Liverpool. This contribution was made under the Social Value commitments we outlined in a tender successfully won with Liverpool City Council.

Liverpool City Council’s Social Value policy emphasises creating meaningful change across the city through specific priorities, such as:

  • Educating Liverpool residents
  • Promoting safe and thriving neighbourhoods
  • Fostering a low carbon, connected, and accessible city

As part of the tender process, we were asked to demonstrate how we could contribute to making Liverpool a fairer and more equal place while adding additional Social Value. We presented Liverpool City Council with two impactful options:

  • A donation of £5,800 to a local charity of their choice
  • Sponsorship of schools in deprived areas by using the donation to purchase educational software

While we suggested several suitable charities and software solutions, the final decision was left to Liverpool City Council. They opted to allocate the funds to the Community Foundation for Lancashire & Merseyside, a charity they were actively supporting at the time. This organisation plays a vital role in running foodbanks across Liverpool City, providing essential resources to those in need.

We are honoured to have partnered with Liverpool City Council in delivering this initiative and contributing to the well-being of Liverpool’s communities.

Clackmannanshire Council
– Social Value Donation

In April 2025, as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, we were pleased to donate £1,196.26 to Home-Start Clackmannanshire. This donation was made in accordance with the Social Value commitments outlined in a tender we were successfully awarded by Clackmannanshire Council.

Clackmannanshire Council’s Social Value policy places a strong emphasis on collaborative efforts to reduce inequality and enhance the wellbeing of all residents within the region. In line with this policy, the Council provided a list of local charities from which we could select recipients for our contributions. We chose Home-Start, a charity that delivers a unique service offering both practical and emotional support to families with young children throughout Clackmannanshire.

Home-Start utilised the donated funds to deliver a first-aid training course for their staff, as well as to organise two outdoor learning days, in collaboration with Under the Trees, for the children and families who benefit from their services.

In addition, we donated £300 to Connect Alloa, a local youth charity dedicated to addressing social isolation and loneliness among young people in Clackmannanshire. The charity applied the funds towards the acquisition of a new nine-seater minibus, which they intend to make available for community hire. This initiative is expected to benefit numerous individuals and groups across the area by improving access to services, events, and support.

We are proud to support the invaluable work of both Home-Start Clackmannanshire and Connect Alloa. These contributions reflect our continued dedication to delivering meaningful social value and making a positive, lasting impact in the communities where we work.
