Telephone line migration and implementation of intelligent telecoms expense management

South Lanarkshire Council was faced with the challenge of saving money whilst maintaining and enhancing services provided to citizens.

The Council chose to award the £3.25m, five-year contract to Maintel and immediately set about migrating its entire fixed line voice estate from BT (2,000 lines) as well as the council’s existing non-geographic numbers to Maintel’s own virtual network.

One of the major benefits the council has experienced from ITEM is the ability to centralise billing data in a single portal.
