If I could sum up my role in one sentence, it would be to help people to reach their potential. And by that I obviously mean all people; men or women. We need to start early with this, and that’s why one of the key areas of focus for Maintel going forward will be to support and encourage more young women into the technology sector, alongside their male peers


Maintel's Chief People Officer

Working in a male dominated sector, I have firsthand experience of being the only woman on the team. Has that stopped me from achieving my personal goals? Not a chance – why would it? But it has been very obvious to me that I’m often the only woman in the room. Our board at Maintel is representative of the challenge that we face across our organisation: quite simply, we employ more men in senior roles than we do women, and this is one of the main reasons for our gender pay gap.
