Maintel is proud to be an official Network Services Framework (RM1045) supplier, as well as an approved G-Cloud 7 provider and NHS Shared Business Services supplier.

We have a long heritage of delivering successful communications services to the public sector, with particular experience in Local & Central Government, Housing, Higher & Further Education and Healthcare.

What we do

In July 2015, Maintel was awarded a framework agreement by the Crown Commercial Service for nine out of ten ICT lots:

  • Lot 1 – Data Access Services (Wide Area Networks)
  • Lot 3 – Traditional Telephony (Calls and Lines)
  • Lot 4 – Inbound Telephony Services (Geographic and Non-geographic numbers)
  • Lot 5 – IP Telephony Services
  • Lot 6 – Mobile Voice and Data
  • Lot 7 – Paging
  • Lot 8 – Video Conferencing
  • Lot 9 – Audio Conferencing
  • Lot 10 – Integrated Communications (UC)

Maintel are also an approved G-Cloud 7 provider where our public sector customers are permitted to directly award contracts against their requirements with us.

As an official NHS Shared Business Services supplier, Maintel is approved to supply Communication, Appointment, Alert and Reminder services.

Our capability and experience

Our ability to consolidate, integrate and then manage multiple telecoms and network suppliers into a single, centralised and flexible contract, has proved an attractive and cost effective option for many public sector organisations.

Our customers include Wiltshire Council, Bath and Northeast Somerset Council, Cornwall Council, Durham County Council, University College London Hospitals and the London NHS trust.

Cyber Essentials Plus

In 2016, Maintel achieved the Government’s Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation for a second year. This builds on the company’s strong governance policies and focus on company-wide IT infrastructure security, ensuring that the company’s public sector customers are protected from the well-reported dangers posed by cyber-threats.

By renewing the Cyber Essentials Plus along with our already strong security credentials and endorsements, customers can be assured that Maintel’s ICON managed communications services are delivered using systems and processes that are optimised to protect their data and their networks.

This latest accreditation is an external validation of Maintel’s trusted managed service capability which already includes adherence to ISO 9000 and ISO 27001 standards. It further adds to Maintel’s credibility when providing services to the public sector with cyber security so high on the agenda of all organisations following the high-profile breaches and attacks of recent years.
