Non-Geographic Numbers are number ranges that have no link to a specific geographic area or dial code.
These numbers are therefore attractive for marketing purposes as they will attract calls from across the UK without geographic bias and give companies a Nationwide presence.
08 number ranges are well established and understood by callers whilst new 03 number ranges have been introduced to make the cost of calling Non-Geographic Numbers clearer.
Some 08 number ranges offer a revenue share where a portion of the cost of a call is rebated to the company receiving the call turning incoming calls in to a revenue stream.
